    Ophthalmologist

    Dr. Susan Fromer is an ophthalmologist who specializes in the treatment of cataracts, glaucoma, and laser vision correction. She graduated with honors from Rutgers University. She went on to receive her medical degree at NYU Medical School. She then completed a medical internship at Lenox Hill Hospital and residency training at St Vincent's Hospital. She has done additional training in cornea and laser refractive surgery at Mercy Hospital. She has been board-certified since 1992. In 2004, Dr. Fromer was an assistant clinical professor of ophthalmology at Manhattan Eye, Ear, and Throat Hospital where she was a resident instructor, training the residents in ophthalmic surgery. Dr. Susan Fromer was a preceptor for a glaucoma fellowship with Dr. Maurice Luntz at Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital in New York.     Dr. Chad Kaplan is a glaucoma specialist, with a focus on complex cataract and anterior segment surgical techniques. Dr. Kaplan has experience in laser-assisted cataract surgery, premium intraocular lens implantation, complex and advanced techniques in cataract surgery, minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS), traditional and implant glaucoma surgery, and laser treatments for glaucoma. Dr. Kaplan received his undergraduate degree from The University of Miami and received his medical degree from the University of Florida where he completed an ophthalmology residency. During his residency, Dr. Kaplan was Chief Resident and was elected Chairman of the Resident Graduate Medical Education Committee at Shands Hospital. Dr. Kaplan completed his fellowship training in glaucoma and complex anterior segment surgery at the Edward S. Harkness Eye Institute of the Columbia University-New York Presbyterian Medical Center. Dr. Kaplan is board certified and a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, The American Glaucoma Society, The New York Glaucoma Society and The Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology.     Dr. Liao is a board certified ophthalmologist specializing in Cataract, Cornea, Refractive Surgery, and External Diseases. Dr. Liao attended the State University of New York (SUNY), Downstate Medical Center, where she received her medical degree, and completed her internship at Maimonides Medical Center. She further continued her studies and completed a residency in ophthalmology at the SUNY Downstate Medical Center, where she was Chief Resident. To further hone her interests in the anterior segment and the cornea, Dr. Liao stayed at SUNY Downstate Medical Center and completed a fellowship in Cornea, Refractive Surgery and External Diseases. Dr. Liao is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and a member of The Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and the Cornea Society. Dr. Liao is devoted to ensuring the longevity of her patients’ vision and quality of life. She is dedicated to developing a long lasting relationship with her patients.     Ophthalmologist

    Dr. David Rubaltelli is an ophthalmologist who specializes in vitreoretinal diseases. Dr. Rubaltelli graduated from Jefferson Medical College and completed his undergraduate education at Dartmouth College. He received his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. Dr. Rubaltelli completed a two-year fellowship in Vitreoretinal Diseases and Surgery at Schepens Retina Associates and the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary located in Boston, Massachusetts. He was also the Chief Resident in Ophthalmology at the Saint Vincent Catholic Medical Center in New York City. Dr. Rubaltelli has been a phase III clinical sub-investigator of a sustained release Dexamethasone compound for macular edema and investigated the anatomical and functional changes in patients with choroidal neovascularization secondary to Age-Related Macular Degeneration after treatment with intravitreal Avastin. In addition, he has a strong surgical interest in complex retinal detachment surgery and utilizes advanced vitreoretinal surgical techniques such as wide-angle viewing and small-gauge vitrectomy.
